Levelit XL Spacer Clips are specially developed for installing thick tiles and natural stone with a tile thickness of 15 to 25 mm. The clips ensure perfect alignment of adjacent tiles, consistent joint widths and a perfectly level tile surface. This prevents height differences between tiles and creates a clean, professional finish.
Thanks to their robust construction and T-shaped base, the XL clips provide extra stability when installing heavy and thick tiles. They are made from high-quality pure polypropylene and feature a precise break point at the base, allowing them to be easily and cleanly removed after the adhesive has cured.
Combined with Levelit wedges and levelling pliers, the XL Spacer Clips form a reliable levelling system for demanding tile projects. Ideal for large-format ceramic tiles, outdoor tiles and natural stone where a perfectly level finish is essential.
Always apply sufficient tile adhesive and place the first tile. Check that the tile is perfectly level before continuing with the installation.
Slide the clip(s) underneath the tile and press the tile down gently. Place the next tile after installing the clips. Make sure the tile is positioned on top of the clip base.
Depending on the tile size, place one or more clips along each side. Tap the tile into place.
Slide the wedge through the opening of the clip. Use levelling pliers to push the wedge through the clip with sufficient force until the tiles are perfectly level.
Tip: Do not remove the wedge yet.
Leave the wedge in place for less than 24 hours after tightening. Once the tile adhesive is almost fully cured, the clip and wedge can be easily removed using a rubber mallet or your foot.
Tip: Always break the clip and wedge in the direction of the grout joint.
Remove the wedges from the clips. The wedges can be reused.
The number of clips and wedges required depends on various factors, such as the tile size and the total area to be tiled. Please refer to the consumption guide below.
Measure the length and width of the tile. Then, locate these dimensions in the calculation table adjacent to this section. The point where both measurements intersect indicates the number of clips required per m².
