The XL System is the ideal solution for tiling projects using thicker tiles. Where standard tile levelling systems reach their limits, the XL and XXL clips provide the extra height needed to accurately level outdoor porcelain paving, natural stone and other thick tile coverings. The XL System prevents lippage between thick tiles and ensures consistent joint widths throughout the installation. Thanks to the durable clips and reusable wedges, the tiles remain securely in place while the adhesive cures. The XL System works on the same principle as a standard wedge tile levelling system. The clip is placed beneath the tile, after which a wedge is inserted through the opening. Using tile levelling pliers, consistent pressure is applied to bring adjacent tiles into perfect alignment. Once the adhesive has fully cured, the clips are removed, while the wedges can be reused for future installations.
The main difference lies in the height of the clips. The standard Levelit System is designed for tiles with a thickness of 6–12 mm, while the XL System is specially developed for thicker tiles measuring 15–25 mm or 22–30 mm. This gives the XL System the stability and clamping force required for thicker, heavier tiles without compromising precision or ease of use.
