With the complete Tiling Buddy Starter Kit, you have everything you need to start installing small-format tiles straight away. The kit includes Tiling Buddy Spacer Clips and reusable wedges, all conveniently packed in a durable, reusable bucket.
Tiling Buddy Spacer Clips ensure precise alignment of adjacent tiles while maintaining consistent joint widths. Used together with the reusable wedges, they eliminate lippage and create a perfectly level finish. The T-shaped base keeps the clips securely in place during installation, ensuring accurate positioning and professional results. Suitable for tiles 5–15 mm thick, they are ideal for smaller tiling projects and tiles up to 60 × 60 cm.
Manufactured from high-quality virgin polypropylene, the Spacer Clips feature a precise break point just above the base, allowing them to be removed quickly and cleanly once the adhesive has cured. Combined with the reusable wedges, they provide consistent pressure for fast, accurate tile levelling.
The durable, reusable bucket keeps all components neatly organised, making storage, transport and use on site quick and convenient.
Always apply sufficient tile adhesive and lay the first tile. Check that it is perfectly level before continuing with the installation.
Slide the Spacer Clip(s) underneath the tile and press the tile down gently. Position the next tile once the Spacer Clips are in place, ensuring it sits on top of the clip base.
Depending on the tile size, place one or more Spacer Clips along each side. Tap the tile gently into position using a rubber mallet.
Insert the wedge through the opening in the Spacer Clip. Using levelling pliers, push the wedge into the clip until the adjacent tiles are perfectly level.
Tip: Do not remove the wedge yet.
Leave the wedge in place for no longer than 24 hours after installation. Once the tile adhesive has almost fully cured, remove the Spacer Clip and wedge by striking them with a rubber mallet or kicking them in the direction of the joint.

Remove the wedges from the Spacer Clips. The wedges are reusable.
The number of clips and wedges required depends on several factors, including the tile size and the total area to be tiled. Refer to the consumption guide below to calculate the required quantity.
Step 1Measure the length and width of your tile. Then locate these dimensions in the consumption chart alongside. The point where the two measurements intersect indicates the number of clips required per m2.
Calculate the total area to be tiled in m² by multiplying the length by the width of the area.
Multiply the number of clips required per m2 (from Step 1) by the total area to be tiled (from Step 2). This gives you the total number of clips required for your project.
