With the Helix starter kit, you have all the necessary components to get started right away with leveling wall tiles. The set contains Helix spacer clips and reusable spin caps, allowing you to achieve a perfectly flat tile surface without any additional purchases.
The Helix spacer clips ensure precise tile alignment, a consistent joint width, and a professional finish for tiled walls. In combination with the spin caps, height differences are effectively prevented, and the tiles remain perfectly in place while the adhesive cures. Thanks to the convenient spin system, the required pressure can be adjusted quickly and accurately.
The starter kit is specially compiled for tiles with a thickness of 3 to 17 mm and offers the ideal solution for installing wall tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, and other tiling projects. Thanks to the practical packaging, you always have all components clearly arranged at hand, allowing you to work efficiently on any job site.
Always ensure sufficient tile adhesive and place the first tile. Check that this tile is completely level before continuing your work.
Slide the clip(s) under the tile and press the tile down gently. Place the next tile after you have positioned the clips. Ensure the tile is placed on top of the base of the clip.
Depending on the size of the tile, place one or more clips per side. Tap the tile into place.
Spin the cap onto the clip and tighten it firmly.
Tip: Do not remove the cap yet.
Leave the cap in place for less than 24 hours after tightening. Once the tile adhesive is ALMOST fully cured, the clip and cap can easily be removed with a rubber mallet or your foot.
Tip: Always break the clip and cap in the direction of the joint.
Remove the caps from the clips. The caps can be reused.
The number of clips and wedges required depends on various factors, such as the tile size and the total area to be tiled. Please refer to the consumption guide below.
Measure the length and width of the tile. Then, locate these dimensions in the calculation table adjacent to this section. The point where both measurements intersect indicates the number of clips required per m².
Calculate the total area of the surface to be tiled in m2. To do this, multiply the length by the width of the room.
Multiply the number of clips per m² (from Step 1) by the total area to be tiled (from Step 2). This will provide the total number of clips required for your project.
