HELIX Spacer Clips form the foundation of the HELIX Tile Levelling System and are specially designed for the precise installation of wall tiles. They ensure precise alignment of adjacent tiles while maintaining consistent joint widths, resulting in a perfectly level finish. This eliminates lippage and delivers a clean, professional result.
Manufactured from high-quality virgin polypropylene, the clips are suitable for tiles 3–17 mm thick. Their unique design makes them particularly suitable for wall applications where precision and a flawless finish are essential. Used together with HELIX Twist Caps, they form an efficient tile levelling system that keeps tiles securely in place while the adhesive cures.
Whether you’re tiling a bathroom, kitchen or an entire feature wall, HELIX Spacer Clips help you work faster and more accurately while achieving professional results. They ensure consistent joint widths and a perfectly level finish for durable, high-quality tile installations.
Always apply sufficient tile adhesive and place the first tile. Check that the tile is perfectly level before continuing.

Slide the clip(s) underneath the tile and press the tile down gently. Place the next tile after positioning the clips. Make sure the tile is placed on top of the clip base. Depending on the tile size, place one or more clips along each side. Tap the tile into position.

Turn the cap onto the clip and tighten it firmly.
Tip: Do not remove the cap yet.

Leave the cap in place for less than 24 hours after tightening. Once the tile adhesive is ALMOST fully cured, the clip and cap can be easily removed using a rubber mallet or your foot.
Tip: Always break the clip and cap in the direction of the grout joint.
Remove the caps from the clips. The caps can be reused.

The number of clips and wedges required depends on several factors, including the tile size and the total area to be tiled. Refer to the consumption guide below to calculate the required quantity.
Step 1Measure the length and width of your tile. Then locate these dimensions in the consumption chart alongside. The point where the two measurements intersect indicates the number of clips required per m2.
Calculate the total area to be tiled in m² by multiplying the length by the width of the area.
Multiply the number of clips required per m2 (from Step 1) by the total area to be tiled (from Step 2). This gives you the total number of clips required for your project.
