Thanks to the combination of clips, wedges and levelling pliers, height differences between adjacent tiles are prevented, keeping every tile perfectly in place while the adhesive cures.
The system is suitable for floor and wall tiles, large-format tiles, rectified tiles, thin tiles and thick outdoor tiles.
The wedge system works by placing clips between adjacent tiles and inserting a wedge into each clip. Using adjustable installation pliers, the wedge is pressed into the clip, bringing adjacent tiles into perfect alignment.
With the Tiling Buddy system, installation pliers are not required for wall applications. For floor installations, however, using installation pliers is recommended for faster and more accurate installation.
INSTALLATION
The LEVELIT levelling system offers numerous benefits when installing tiled floors or walls. It enables you to achieve perfectly level tiles quickly and accurately, eliminating lippage between adjacent tiles. Thanks to the clips and wedges, the tiles remain firmly in place while the adhesive cures, keeping the tiles securely aligned while the adhesive cures.
The thickness of the clips determines the joint width and ensures a consistent result with every tile. Levelit clips are available in 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 4 mm, allowing you to choose the joint width best suited to your project.
Installing tiles thinner than 6 mm? No problem. With a wedge separator, the wedge is raised to the correct height, allowing even thin tiles to be levelled easily and accurately.
Yes. LEVELIT wedges are made from durable, wear-resistant material and can be reused many times. After removing the clips, simply clean the wedges and they are ready for your next tiling project.
Both the wedge system and the twist system produce perfectly level tiles, but they differ in the way pressure is applied. With a wedge system, pressure is created by sliding a wedge into a clip, usually with the help of pliers. This system is particularly suitable for large tiled areas and provides maximum clamping force. With a twist system, pressure is created by screwing a cap onto the clip. No pliers are required, and the pressure can easily be adjusted by hand. This makes the twist system a popular choice for wall tile applications.
Wedge System
With the wedge system, a wedge is inserted into a clip between two tiles. Using pliers, the wedge is tightened to bring adjacent tiles into perfect alignment. This system is ideal for larger surfaces and thick (XL) tiles. It provides maximum clamping force for a clean, professional finish.
Twist System
The twist system consists of a clip and a cap. The clip is positioned beneath the tile, and the cap is tightened until the tiles are perfectly level. Since no pliers are required, this system is particularly convenient for wall tile projects.
